Overview
The Manager of Communications for North America is responsible for leading a communications experience that creates hyper-connected communities of talent across our North America store brands : Foot Locker, Kids Foot Locker, and Champs Sports. They will be responsible for driving action and engagement through communications, inclusive of virtual meetings, customer experience strategies, organizational initiatives, and field events. The role sits on the Store Experience team and supports overall field strategy, operations, customer experience, engagement, and team member experience. This is a great role for an individual who enjoys simplifying complexities, is collaborative, detailed and strategic, and excels in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
Create and manage a comprehensive content strategy for a variety of field communication channels, including The Zone (ThinkTime Task Management), Field Team Connect (SharePoint Intranet), and email to engage the North American field team.
Develop, write, edit, and collaborate on communications across platforms, including tasks, emails, presentations, videos, and other creative formats.
Leverage existing communications channels to foster hyper-connected communities of talent through streamlined content, relevant channels, and two-way interaction.
Collaborate across the business and serve as a trusted advisor to provide guidance on communication best practices for our field team.
Measure the effectiveness of field communications and analyze the impact on engagement and performance, gathering feedback and flexing the approach, as necessary.
Partner across the business to ensure organizational initiatives, brand strategies, and other company updates are adapted and disseminated to the field team purposefully.
Bring new thinking and creative approaches to align communications with the overall customer experience strategy.
Produce field meetings and support the development and execution of field in-person meetings.
Qualifications
Minimum of 4-6 years of experience in field leadership or a relevant corporate role. Bachelor’s degree in communications, marketing, public relations, journalism, or advertising is a plus.
Experience with employee communications or frontline worker communications.
Proficiency in Microsoft tools including Outlook, SharePoint, Teams, PowerPoint, Word, Excel. Knowledge of ThinkTime Task Management a plus.
Proven ability to quickly learn and adopt new tools and drive engagement and use of the tools.
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate cross-functionally.
Excellent organization and project management skills, with the capability to shift priorities and adapt to changing business needs.
Forward-thinking and able to suggest innovative concepts that motivate action and drive engagement.
Capability of owning projects, evolving as needed, and moving them to completion.
Exceptional verbal and written communications skills.
Knowledge of sneaker culture and retail experience is a plus.
Ability to travel as required.
Benefits
The annual salary starting at a base of $80,000 - $90,000. Salary will be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data. Salary is one component of the Foot Locker, Inc. total compensation package, which includes the below.
