Lead Distribution Engineer

Leidos is seeking a Lead Distribution Engineer in the Framingham MA area who is passionate about electric utility design engineering. Were looking for someone who is dedicated to ensuring that every project no matter how simple or complex is of exceptional quality. Youll be working directly with clients to make sure that Leidos reputation for high-quality work is always maintained. If you join us in this role youll gain expertise in a variety of areas including NESC Structural Pole Modeling Electrical Power Calculations GIS design training Field Data Collection and Client Design Standards. This position is hybrid in nature where 3 days / week are spent working in our office collaborating with internal teams and 2 days / week can be spent working remotely.

As a Lead Distribution Engineer you can expect to :

• Lead the development of electrical distribution work packages; Perform engineering design and analysis; potentially work on programmatic / capital / reliability design (i.e. 3rd party attachment / Make Ready overloaded transformers reconductor voltage conversion DG FLISR underground etc. designs)
• Be responsible for QAQC tasks on your assigned team; You will play a role in quality reviews of your teams designs prior to submittals for client projects
• Review engineering design packages with clients; Review and organize existing program work
• Perform scope analysis of work assigned and maintain schedule adherence to advocate client priorities
• Interact directly with clients on a frequent as-needed basis
• Provide engineering support during construction including post-construction reviews to ensure all applicable engineering and construction standards have been met.
• Coordinate conflicting utilities and other field engineering design requirements; Assist with work permit development easements and ROW applications
• Be comfortable in both a field and office setting; the role could possibly require some customer-site visits to collect field data that will assist in developing work packages

Pay Range $89700.00 - $162150.00
