Education Qualifications :
Education : Possess a high school diploma or GED Be a graduate from a medical assistant training program accredited by Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP), OR the Accrediting Bureau of Health Education Schools (ABHES) of the American Medical Technologists, OR formal medical services training program of the United States Armed Forces.Certification : Must be BLS Certified through the American Red Cross or American Heart AssociationExperience Possess a minimum of 1 years’ experience as a Medical Assistant within the last 3 years.Job duties may include but are not limited to :
Obtain patients medical record following the appropriate proceduresAssist the provider as needed during examsTransport patients to other clinical areas as neededCheck each chart for the providers signature, stamp, and each patients diagnosis, prior to returning chart to Health recordsObtain lab and X-ray resultsAnswer the telephone and transcribe messagesEnsure any broken or unsafe equipment is removed from the clinic in a timely manner and to notify appropriateAssist with patient flow and give direct patient care asContact patients regarding appointments, exam / test results, or as directed byScan documents into patients’Schedule patient’s’ appointments, perform appointment reminder functions and contact patients regarding reports asCarry out a variety of receptionist, record keeping, and clerical tasks as required, to assist personnel who are dedicated to performance of theseAt USGP, we are invested in the growth and support of the veterans, and their families, that we serve.
