Human Resources Generalist
HR Generalist
HR Generalist will support operations and the employee population in the Boston District, ensuring that all standards are communicated and followed, and that all processes are executed to continue to deliver the high level of customer service to our employee base. HR Generalis will report to VP of HR.
Responsibilities :
- Assist in developing and executing personnel procedures and policies, providing guidance and interpretation for business operations
- Participate in the development of HR objectives and systems, including metrics, queries, and standard reports for ongoing company requirements
- Assist in administering benefits, compensation, and employee performance programs
- Suggest new procedures and policies to continually improve the efficiency of the HR department and organization as a whole and to improve the employees’ experience
- Ensure legal compliance of HR state and federal regulations and applicable employment laws, and update policies and / or procedures as required
- Implement human resources programs by providing human resources services.
- Facilitate a smooth new hire onboarding process, coordinating with cross-functional departments to deliver an exceptional first day experience.
- Handle tasks related to onboarding, which includes reviewing backgrounds and providing final approval for new hires.
- Entering data into HR information systems and auditing for accuracy and compliance
- Provide an effective and dedicated HR advisory service to employees in relation to absence and health issues, conduct and capability, grievance matters, organizational change, and all other employee-relations matters
- Assist in the communication, interpretation, and upkeep of employee handbook, employee directory, and organizational chart, and contributes to the development of policies
Required Skills / Abilities :
Demonstrated experience working with a large employee base on a variety of workplace issues.Working knowledge of CT and federal employment laws.Clear and concise verbal and written communication skills.Proficiency in MS Office.Strong problem solving, reporting, and analytical skills.Excellent organizations skills.Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.Resourceful – can independently seek and find resources, information, knowledge, and / or tools to complete tasks as needed.Meets commitments, works independently, and accepts accountability.Manages change and stays focused under pressure,Ability to quickly learn organization’s HRIS and talent management systems.Willingness to learn new responsibilities and grow within role.Education and Experience :
Associates Degree (Bachelors a plus) in Human Resources, Business Administration or related field preferred2-4 years’ experienceExperience in or knowledge of human resources practices is preferred.Notary Public a plusPhysical Requirements :
