Position : Help Desk Operator
Position Summary : Coordinates the IS Help Desk and service calls from users. Provides first level of support, escalates and routes service requests appropriately.
Job Duties / Responsibilities :
1. Responds to telephone calls, emails and web requests for technical support. Provides first level of
support, escalates and routes service requests appropriately.
2. Tracks and monitors problems and requests to ensure timely resolutions.
3. Works with print vendor to replace toner cartridges when necessary.
4. Performs employee system access table updates. Coordinates efforts with Technical and Support Services
teams to update the role-based access database.
5. Maintains logbook on equipment signed out for repairs.
6. Assists in evaluating and planning tasks for projects, department moves, etc.
7. Properly documents and tracks software licenses, new equipment, replacements, and disposals in the Help
Desk System
8. Manages pager inventory, repairs, replacement, and expenses.
9. Tracks IS expenses and issues check requests for invoices.

Qualifications
Education, Training, Experience and Licenses / Registrations Required :
1. Working knowledge of personal computers and other productivity software.
2. Working knowledge of MS Windows operating system features and configuration.
3. Working knowledge with MS Office applications.
4. Ability to multi-task and manage conflicting priorities.
5. High school diploma or equivalent.
Desired Qualifications
1. Experience using a Help Desk trouble ticketing system
2. Familiarity with software that enables the remote control of workstations in a networked environment
3. Knowledge of Microsoft Active Directory
4. Experience working in a healthcare environment
Physical and Sensory Requirements :
1. Ability to read, write and converse in English.
2. Ability to speak and hear, to allow discussions with employees and peers.
3. Ability to remain calm and composed under stress.
4. Ability to respond to pages and telephones.
5. Ability to evaluate and interpret information and make independent decisions.
6. Must be able to tolerate occasional long hours and occasional loud noise.
