Property Claims Expert

About the Role

This Claims Expert position has responsibility for handling Commercial First Party Property Claims, to include Builders Risk and Energy portfolios, while also supporting internal and external customers. You will manage a caseload of claims from receipt to final resolution and direct independent adjusters, appraisers, experts and coverage / defense counsel.

Additional key responsibilities include :

• Investigate, evaluate and settle claims, applying technical knowledge and people skills to effect fair and prompt claim resolution.
• Complete detailed reviews of claim related issues, including coverage, liability and damage and document the claim file appropriately.
• Set and maintain appropriate and timely indemnity and expense reserves.
• Formulate and execute negotiation and resolution strategies.
• Maintain strong client focus by aggressively and proactively researching issues, providing support and assuring client satisfaction in a timely fashion.
• Support Underwriting team needs for Claim information and consultation on coverages.

About the Team

The . Property team includes three US-based units managing Commercial Property, E&S, and MGA Program claims in both domestic and international markets. We are a diverse and inclusive team that works well in a collaborative environment while fostering and developing independent thought.

You bring superior interpersonal, written & verbal communication skills enabling your past and future success in building and maintaining relationships. And you are comfortable interacting directly with insureds, brokers, Public Adjusters, attorneys, and key stakeholders at any level.

Our company uses a hybrid work model requiring at least three days in the office each week, with the option to work onsite full-time if preferred.

The estimated base salary range for this position is $116,000 to $213,000. The specific salary offered for this or any given role will take into account a number of factors including but not limited to job location, scope of role, qualifications, complexity / specialization / scarcity of talent, experience, education, and employer budget. This means that we consider all components of compensation in their totality (such as base pay, short-and long-term incentives, and benefits offered), in setting individual compensation.
