Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and hardworking Kitchen Porter to join our dynamic kitchen team. As a Porter, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the cleanliness and organization of our kitchen, ensuring that all dishes, utensils, and cooking equipment are properly cleaned and sanitized. This position is essential to the smooth operation of our food service environment, supporting both front-of-house and back-of-house staff in delivering exceptional dining experiences.
Regular working hours will be Thursday 10am-3pm, Friday 10am-4pm, Saturday 9am-3pm & Sunday 9am-3pm.
Duties
- Wash and sanitize dishes, glassware, pots, pans, and utensils using commercial dishwashing equipment.
- Maintain cleanliness of the dishwashing area and ensure all items are properly stored after cleaning.
- Follow all food safety and sanitation guidelines to ensure compliance with health regulations.
- Support the culinary team by keeping the kitchen organized and stocked with necessary supplies.
- Participate in regular cleaning tasks, including deep cleaning of kitchen equipment and storage areas.
- Responsible for taking trash and recycling out 2 days per week.
Qualifications
Previous experience in a restaurant or food service environment is preferred but not required.Knowledge of food handling practices and sanitation standards is a plus.Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.Strong teamwork skills with a willingness to help others in the kitchen as needed.Availability to work flexible hours, including weekends as required by the business needs.A positive attitude and commitment to providing excellent service in a hospitality setting.
