Mailroom / Machine Operator

Location : Glen Burnie, MD (1000 Steward Avenue)

Assignment Type : Full-Time, Temp-to-Perm

Schedule : Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday | 6 : 00 AM – 2 : 30 PM (Wednesday & Sunday Off)

Pay Rate : $18.00 per hour (40 hours / week)

Position Overview

Conduent is seeking a Transaction Processing Specialist II to support mailroom operations in a fast-paced, detail-oriented environment. The role involves operating mail sorting and scanning equipment, performing clerical tasks, and ensuring accurate and timely handling of incoming materials. Key Responsibilities

Operate mail sorting and opening equipment (e.g., Opex P40 mail sorter, Opex envelope opener).

Perform manual sorting of mail into lockbox bins and resolve mis-sorts.

Scan inbound mail using high / low-speed capture equipment.

Handle exceptions processing, inbound scanning, and delivery of receipted mail.

Perform basic data entry with accuracy and compliance.

Complete clerical support tasks and other duties as assigned.

Requirements

Basic computer knowledge and data entry skills required.

Ability to stand, walk, and lift up to 10 lbs.

Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

Reliability and ability to meet productivity standards in a structured environment.

Must successfully complete background check and 8-panel drug screening.

Additional Details

Pay Rate : $18.00 / hour

Hours : 40 per week | 520 total hours in contract period

Assignment Period : September 8, 2025 – December 7, 2025
