Job Title : Senior .NET Web Developer

Client : State of Wisconsin – Department of Children and Families (DCF)

Job Location : Madison, WI (90–100% Remote – Must be a WI resident or willing to relocate within 30 days)

Note : Candidates must be authorized to work in the U.S. (Any visa except H1B).

Each candidate must submit a government-issued ID (Driver’s License or Passport) and provide three professional references (names, official emails, and phone numbers).

Candidate must reside in Wisconsin or relocate within 30 days of the start date.

Job Description :

The State of Wisconsin – Department of Children and Families (DCF) is seeking a Senior .NET Web Developer to lead full-stack web development efforts supporting modernized financial systems. The ideal candidate should possess a strong foundation in .NET Core, JavaScript frameworks, and database technologies, and be capable of working independently as well as collaboratively within a structured Agile team.

Specialty Areas :

Full-Stack Web Development – Expertise in building scalable web apps using .NET MVC / Core, JavaScript, jQuery, and SQL Server.

Modern UI Development – Utilizing Kendo UI, Bootstrap, HTML5, and CSS for responsive, user-friendly interfaces.

Data Layer Development – Working with Entity Framework and SQL Server, including data modeling and structure.

SDLC & Agile Practices – Engaging in all project phases : planning, coding, testing, deployment, and post-production support.

Toolsets & Collaboration – Using GitHub, TFS, JIRA, and CI / CD practices in a collaborative team environment.

Responsibilities :

Design, develop, test, and deploy full-stack web applications using .NET Core, MVC, JavaScript, and SQL Server.

Maintain and modernize legacy applications, including transitions from .NET Framework to .NET Core.

Collaborate with analysts, QA, and business users to gather requirements and deliver solutions.

Conduct code reviews and participate in unit and smoke testing.

Create and maintain technical documentation, database models, and system architecture diagrams.

Provide post-production support and resolve system issues in a timely manner.

Ensure adherence to development standards, performance optimization, and security best practices.

Mandatory Requirements :

Minimum 8 years of experience in full-stack .NET development.

Proven ability to develop and maintain complex web applications using .NET Core / MVC, JavaScript, and SQL Server.

Experience with Kendo UI, Bootstrap, and modern UI frameworks.

Must reside in Wisconsin or be willing to relocate within 30 days of the start date.

Qualifications :

Experience with Crystal Reports or MS Access.

Prior experience with financial systems or WI state government systems.

Strong interpersonal, communication, and documentation skills.

Ability to work both independently and within a team setting.
