What will I do as a Behavioral Health Nurse with Genacross?
Provide medication education to children and youth in residential care and treatment.Exercise creativity and appropriate presentation on medication education to children and youth.Obtain between 15-18 billable hours per week with progress notes written as part of the billable event.Attend specialized medical appointments as requested by administration.Conduct communicable disease checks and annual nursing evaluations for residents. Document these in a clinical activity note upon completion.Serve as delegated nurse for designated sites.Prepare paperwork for psychiatrist / NP and attend monthly resident psychiatry / NP appointments.Maintain your professional license in good standing and provide current licensing documentation to the Human Resource Officer.Serve as a clinical staff in the day treatment program to provide ordering and evaluation of restraints as needed.Utilize trauma informed treatment approaches in all interactions with youth following SAMHSA principles and domains.Provide 24 hours a day / 7 days a week nursing coverage within the scope of license and practice, to youth in residential treatment facilities. Will be accessible for on-site or face-to-face via interactive videoconferencing as appropriate, based on medical needs of the youth. This is based on an on-call schedule and as needed. Document all calls in clinical activity notes.Meet training requirements as defined by Genacross and OMHAS for the clinical services provided.Perform all other duties as assigned.Behavioral Health Nurse Requirements :
