Background check, credit check, MVR, and drug screen may be required (will vary by position). Knowledge of all federal, state, and local rules and regulations. Ability to recognize hazardous acts and behaviors, and coach workers in the field to control hazards. Knowledge and skills in the use of various Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Computer literacy. "Mega-project" experience (power plants, airports, hospitals, data centers, and large infrastructure) Experience managing subcontractors ASP or CSP certification $40.00-60.00 / hr. Excelsior Safety is looking for multiple Safety Professionals to join our team!
Candidates must be local or willing to relocate to the greater Columbus, OH area.
Responsibilities :
- Support the Site Management team and assist with oversight of employees and enforcement of safety policies and procedures.
- Inspect site for compliance with company safety rules and regulations as well as all federal, state and local agencies guidelines.
- Assist with the training and orientation of all employees.
- Manage training records, inspection sheets, audits, and other documents related occupational safety.
- Investigate incidents to determine root cause.
- Ensure that all safety equipment is in good condition and ensure that safety procedures are followed when using equipment.
- Assist with incident investigations as needed.
- Observe morning safety discussions with tradespeople to discuss hazards and controls.
- Conduct daily site inspections and maintain a site presence.
- Prepare and conduct weekly toolbox talks and stand-downs as needed.
