Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Asbestos Inspector to perform comprehensive surveys and sampling of building materials to identify potential asbestos, lead-based paint, PCBs, and other contaminants. You will also assist in environmental sampling of soils, water, dust, and indoor air. The role involves monitoring services by overseeing abatement and remediation contractors, documenting work, and conducting post-abatement inspections. Staying current with best practices through internal training and external lectures is essential. Additionally, you will perform other related duties as required.

Responsibilities

• Conduct surveys and sampling of interior and exterior building materials for asbestos, lead-based paint, PCBs, and other contaminants.
• Assist in environmental sampling of soils, water, dust, and indoor air.
• Oversee abatement / remediation contractors and document work processes.
• Conduct post-abatement visual inspections and clearance / re-occupancy air or other applicable sampling.
• Stay updated on planning practices, guidelines, and best management practices through training and lectures.
• Perform other duties as requested.

Job Type & Location

This is a Permanent position based out of New Haven, Connecticut.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $65000.00 - $75000.00 / yr.
