Job Quick Facts Specialty : Interventional Gastroenterology Job Type : Locum Tenens Facility Location : Oklahoma City, OK Service Setting : Inpatient Reason For Coverage : Supplemental Coverage Period : Start Date : Jan 12, 2026 Ongoing Coverage Type : Call Only Shifts needed to be filled : 12 weeks per month (for the next 912 months) Shift Schedule : 8 : 00 AM8 : 00 PM in-house with 12 hours on-call (8 : 00 PM8 : 00 AM) Call Type : Beeper Call Response Time : 15 mins Phone Consults : 010 per day Patient Volume : 1520 patients per day; 13 callbacks overnight per week Required to Supervise APPs : Yes (1 PA / NP) Support Staff : 1 PA / NP Skills Required : -Upper GI endoscopy (with biopsy, foreign body removal, fulguration of bleeder, injection of varices) -ERCP (diagnostic and therapeutic) -PEG (percutaneous endoscopic gastrostomy) -Endoscopic ultrasound (EUS) -Liver biopsy -Sengstaken / Blakemore tube insertion and management Procedures : -Therapeutic ERCP, -sphincterotomy, -stent placement Beds in the Dept : 239 EMR : Epic Other Info : -Immediate coverage need for interventional gastroenterologist -Required experience : at least 200 therapeutic ERCPs, 40 sphincterotomies, and 10 stent placements in the past 12 months or completion of fellowship within 12 months -Preference for providers available at least 2 weeks / month, minimum 1 week / month accepted Travel, lodging, and malpractice insurance covered Requirements Active OK License or IMLC BC / BE ACLS Must have completed ACGME / AOA-accredited GI fellowship including ERCP training current experience : Demonstrated current competence and evidence of performance of at least 200 therapeutic ERCP procedures, 40 sphincterotomies and 10 stent placements in the past 12 months or completion of training in the past 12 months.
