Who We Serve
North Bay Regional Center provides advocacy, services, support, and care coordination to children and adults diagnosed with intellectual and developmental disabilities and their families in Napa, Sonoma and Solano counties. We partner with community-based organizations and agencies to empower our clients to thrive and live as independently as possible within the geographically, culturally, and ethnically diverse communities we serve. North Bay Regional Center is a nonprofit private corporation that contracts with the Department of Developmental Services to coordinate services and support for individuals with developmental disabilities. NBRC serves over 12,000 people living within the geographic boundaries of Napa, Sonoma and Solano counties.

DEFINITION :
The Case Management Supervisor is responsible for the oversight of case management and community program activities within a geographic catchment area usually defined by county boundaries.
NATURE OF WORK :
Under the direction of a Director or Associate Director of Client Services , the Supervisor orients, trains, supervises, and evaluates case management staff; coordinates case management activities with other program staff; ensures client individual program plans are effectively implemented in a manner consistent with client needs, laws, regulations, and North Bay Regional Center policies and procedures; organizes and supervises service coordinator activities and case management duties including the supervision of cases requiring intensive case management and high levels of expertise.
EXAMPLES OF WORK :
Performs formal and informal performance evaluations of case management staff in collaboration with the Director or Associate Director of Client Services ; assigns cases to Service Coordinators (SCs); provides supervision to SCs; approves purchases of service; reviews individual program plans for appropriateness and accuracy; conducts staff training; leads and participates in meetings; provides resource information and guidance as needed to perform case management responsibilities, collaborates with community partners including vendors and local school districts; participates in selection and hiring of case management employees; provides out-of-home placement information to North Bay Regional Center staff and staff of other placement agencies; meets with care provider groups; participates in interdisciplinary staff meetings; when working with young children ages 3 to 6, will participate in eligibility determination process for children who are provisionally eligible. May be responsible to act as the Transition Liaison contact for NBRC and complete all required duties related to building community partnerships with local school districts and SELPA's. When working with adults and children of all ages with low to no POS usage, will frequently provide reports and presentations to DDS, community partners, and in public presentations.
Requirements
MINIMUM EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE :
Completion of a master's degree in a field which offers content related to developmental disabilities, such as social work, psychology, or nursing. Three years of paid case management experience after the degree, at least one of which is in the field of developmental services and one-year supervisory experience in his / her specialty field.
OR
Two years in another professional position at North Bay Regional Center, and two years case management experience.
Minimum qualifications may be waived depending on the agency's need for specialized skills (such as language abilities).
KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITIES :
Knowledge of case management philosophies, techniques, and procedures; knowledge of social and mental health needs of the community and of available community resources; knowledge of factors underlying work with the developmentally disabled; ability to interpret and apply a variety of legal requirements and policy standards; ability to plan, schedule and supervise the work of others, and to evaluate performance; ability to formulate the establishment of objectives designed to effectively achieve stated goals; ability to prepare or supervise the preparation of statistical and narrative reports; ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with staff, clients, community representatives, and others; knowledge of the interdisciplinary process. Possession of narrative writing skills.
