Assists physicians and extenders in providing proper medical and clerical support for the various orthopedic practice locations. ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES : After appropriate training and documented competency, performs various related procedures including but not limited to wound care, dressings, EK Gs, removal of sutures / staples, application / removal of orthopedic casts / splints, phlebotomy and assisting with ultrasound procedures. 15%Assists in the coordination of patient care under the supervision of the assigned health care provider. 10%Prepares and rooms patients within the orthopedic clinical setting and according to the scope of practice. Orders radiographs according to the physician protocols. 10%Following standard workflows, accurately documents all pertinent details in the electronic health record (EHR).
