Fire Alarm / Special Systems Technician

Description

Torgeson Electric Company is currently seeking individuals looking to join the fire alarm and special systems controls industry for commercial projects.

Scope of Work

Fire Alarm / Special Systems Technicians are able to install a fully functioning Fire Alarm and / or HVAC Controls System. Some traveling required to job sites in northeast Kansas.

Pay

Based on experience. $1500 signing bonus.

Hours

40 or more per week

Transportation

Travel allowance provided, if required

Lodging

Provided if required

• Ability to effectively Communicate
• Follow safety policies and procedures at all times.
• PPE required for all duties.

Duties & Tasks

You will work with one of our fire alarm / HVAC controls foreman and receive on the job training

Tasks would include running conduit, wire / cable installation, device installation, troubleshooting, and system testing

If seeking a foreman position, must have 3+ years of experience, have worked with multiple system brands and have a minimum NICET level 2 certification for fire alarm

OSHA 10 required (reimbursement available upon completion)

Fill out daily pre-job safety plan for the work that will be performed

Basic electrical knowledge preferred but not required
