Property Accounting Manager

Our client has been in the real estate industry for over 35 years, with 400 employees and six offices nationally, the team focuses within the retail and commercial property space. The team prides themselves on a flexible and family-oriented work environment based on trust and hard work.

Our client is looking for an experienced Property Accounting Manager to join their growing organization, with a new 100 property portfolio added to the organization. This role brings a blend of owning your own portfolio of properties and managing a team of three and reviewing their work!

Job Description

Manage a team of three property accountants and review and approve their work

Manage your own portfolio of projects, focused within retail and commercial properties

Conduct the month end close process for all properties

Create journal entries, bank reconciliations, and accruals for properties

Work with tenants on discrepancies in billing

The Successful Applicant

Bachelor's degree in Accounting

5+ years of property accounting experience, within retail and commercial properties

Experience at the accounting manager level

Experience with Yardi and MRI
