Operations Manager (Air / Ocean Import / Export)

The Operations Manager oversees the day-to-day activities of DSV's transportation and logistics operations, ensuring safety, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness. This role is responsible for managing operational staff, implementing policies and procedures, and fostering strong relationships with customers and partners. This position will report to the Branch Manager.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Oversee all aspects of transportation and logistics operations, including planning, scheduling, and coordination to ensure timely delivery of goods.
• Develop and implement operational policies and systems to enhance efficiency, safety, and quality.
• Monitor and analyze performance metrics, including productivity, cost, and quality, to identify opportunities for improvement.
• Foster a collaborative work environment to drive team success.
• Maintain strong relationships with customers, partners, and vendors, ensuring satisfaction with services provided.
• Collaborate with sales, customer service, and other departments to align business operations and customer expectations.
• Implement Lean principles and methodologies to optimize processes and eliminate inefficiencies.
• Ensure compliance with transportation and logistics regulations and industry standards.
• Utilize transportation management software (e.g., TMS or WMS) to streamline operations.
• Ensure operational technology is effectively implemented and maintained.

Physical Demands

Work is generally sedentary, with no specific need for physical coordination or effort. For this position, the expected base pay is : $75,500 - $113,500 / Annual . Actual base compensation will be determined based on various factors including job-related knowledge, geographical location, skills, experience, and other objective business considerations.
