Anesthesiology Physician - Locum Tenens Opportunity Near Tacoma, WA

We are currently seeking a skilled and experienced Anesthesiologist for a locum tenens assignment near Tacoma, WA. This position is available ASAP and will continue on an ongoing basis, providing a unique opportunity to support a busy inpatient department during a critical period.

Responsibilities :

Clinical Hours : Work scheduled clinical hours from 7 AM to 7 PM in a high-demand environment. The OR is open five days a week, providing a structured yet dynamic work schedule.

Call Coverage : Call responsibilities are required for emergent surgeries, with call shifts running from 7 PM to 7 AM. Each physician will be on call one night per week, as well as potential weekend call duties.

Patient Care : Manage 5-10 patients per shift, ensuring optimal anesthetic care across a variety of procedures. Your expertise will be crucial in maintaining patient safety and comfort during surgeries.

Support Staff : You will be supported by a dedicated OR staff, ensuring that you have the resources needed to provide high-quality care.

Requirements :

Board Certification : You must be board certified in Anesthesiology to qualify for this position.

Licensing : An active Washington state license or eligibility through the Interstate Medical Licensure Compact (IMLC) is required.

Certifications :

ACLS - Required

BLS - Required

PALS - Required

Experience : Previous experience in anesthesiology is essential, ensuring you can effectively manage a range of cases in a busy inpatient setting.

Credentialing Timeframe : Estimated to take between 90-120 days.

Work Environment : The inpatient setting focuses entirely on providing anesthetic care within the hospital. The facility is well-equipped with eight operating rooms, and the use of the Epic EMR system ensures efficient documentation and communication.
