GRASP has an opening for a part-time college financial aid advisor to work at Randolph-Henry High School, in Charlotte County, during the 25 / 26 school year. Advisors are assigned to a particular school 1 day per week during the school year. All training is provided : 2 – 4 days per year in Richmond or virtually.
A GRASP Advisor provides individualized advising to students and parents regarding how best to pay for post-secondary education. This Advisor would join with all staff in GRASP’s continuous development work in the areas of diversity, equity, and inclusion, with those efforts directly furthering GRASP’s mission. The usual candidate has a heart for helping students, is committed to the community, and understands the confidentiality of student information.
While helpful, prior expertise in college financial aid is not required, as all necessary information is provided in the training program. Similarly, while familiarity with language(s) in addition to English would be beneficial, it is not a requirement for this position. A college degree is required.
