About The Position

Description :

The unit has 14-22 beds with staffing dependent on acuity and census.

The day shift typically consists of 4-6 nurses, and the night shift also has 4-6 nurses.

Patient ratios are 4 : 1 for medical / surgical cases.

The unit uses EMR - Meditech for electronic documentation.

Candidates must have experience in cleft palate repair, appendectomy, chest tube management, lumbar punctures, and seizure management.

Noninvasive cardiology is performed, but there is no neurosurgery or stroke management.

Procedures include thoracic cases such as thoracotomy / thoracoscopy and pectus bar implants.

The ideal candidate should be supportive and collaborative, working in a full team environment.

Floating to NICU Level 1 or 2 may be required.

The dress code includes wearing royal blue scrubs.

Four weekend shifts are required every four weeks, with no on-call responsibilities.
