What you’ll do :

The Admissions Specialist ensures timely screening and admission in order to provide prompt residential treatment services to individuals in need. They will be responsible for facilitating the admissions process including tracking referrals, completing screenings, coordinating admissions, and completing intake and clinical assessments.

Essential responsibilities :

  • Facilitate the residential admission processes : process and track incoming referrals, facilitate screenings, coordinate the intake schedule, complete the intake process, and complete the clinical assessment.
  • Serve as a point of contact to ensure ongoing collaboration with the clinical team and other involved parties as appropriate. Involve natural supports as preferred by the client.
  • Perform case management duties as assigned, including facilitating Adult Recovery Team (ART) meetings, coordination of care, submitting referrals, and discharge planning.
  • Deliver at least 40 hours of work per week, with a goal of 30 hours of direct client contact. Productivity standards established at a minimum of once a year, and as needed, due to contract changes.
  • Maintain all client records in current status and in accordance with agency policies and procedures, as well as health plan, state, and federal requirements. Produce complete, timely, thorough, quality clinical documentation of all services rendered, both billable and non-billable, as required.
  • Maintain the person’s comprehensive clinical record, including documentation of activities performed as part of the service delivery process (e.g., assessments, provision of services, coordination of care, discharge planning).
  • Provide transportation to consumers as appropriate and determined by the residential team.
  • Attend regular scheduled weekly supervision meetings. Seek out additional supervision as needed.
  • Participate in all regularly scheduled administrative, in-service, and department staff meetings and trainings.
  • Recommend to the Clinical Coordinator or Department Manager changes that would improve service delivery. Implement changes and new programming as directed.
  • Evening and weekend hours may be required to accommodate the schedules of children, families, and adults.
  • Provide continuous evaluation of the effectiveness of treatment through the ongoing assessment of the person and input from the person and relevant others resulting in modification to the service plan as necessary.
  • Adhere to the agency's policies and procedures. Comply with the agency's standard of care for service delivery. Assist with Quality Management, Quality Assurance, and Utilization Review.
  • Perform additional related duties and participate in agency fund-raising activities, as requested.

What you’ll provide :

  • Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, Social Work, Family Studies, or other behavioral health field. OR 4 years of experience of direct behavioral health services to meet BHT requirements.
  • Experience working with substance abuse and co-occurring disorders preferred.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Detail Oriented and strong organization skills.
  • Strong internal and external customer service skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to remain calm in crisis situations, work independently and cooperatively, recognize personal limitations, and relate positively and with empathy to all persons regardless of age, race, creed, gender, or sexual orientation.
  • Maintain a professional demeanor and positive working relationships with internal and external team members, stakeholders, and community and business partners.
  • Strong computer skills including experience with Microsoft Office.
  • Valid Arizona Driver’s License, with no major infractions in the past three years is required.
  • If driving while on agency time or on agency business, a valid Arizona driver license and appropriate liability insurance and approval for liability coverage with EMPACT - SPC’s liability insurance carrier is required. At time of hire, a 3-year state driving record with no major infractions or excessive driving violations / tickets is required.
  • Must have a Fingerprint clearance card or be eligible to obtain one.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age at the time of employment.
  • What you’ll experience :

  • The typical work environment will be working indoors or community-based work, working out in the community.
  • Employees must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
  • Occasional travel to training may occur as-needed.
  • Possibility to work from home may be necessary.
