Travel Nurse Job Details Location : Spirit Lake, IA 51360 (Iowa Great Lakes region) Assignment Length : 13 weeks (January 6, 2026 - April 7, 2026) Healthcare Setting : Medical / Surgical & Critical Care Unit (CCU) Weekly Hours : 36 hours per week Shift : 12-hour rotating shifts (day / night : 7a-7p and 7p-7a) Schedule : Every other weekend required; no on-call Guaranteed Hours : 36 hours / week (exceptions may apply during orientation, holidays, or approved time off) Estimated Weekly Pay : $1950-$2090 per week Registered Nurse Qualifications Active Iowa or compact state RN license required Minimum 1 year of hospital nursing experience At least 6 months of critical care nursing experience 1 year of cardiac monitoring experience preferred Current BLS and ACLS certifications (American Heart Association) PALS certification preferred Adult / Child Abuse Mandatory Reporting certification Willingness to float to Medical / Surgical Unit as needed Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative healthcare team Compliance with hospital dress code (navy and white scrubs, closed toe shoes, tattoos covered, natural hair color, limited piercings) Med / Surg RN Responsibilities Triage and conduct accurate, ongoing patient assessments in Med / Surg and Critical Care Unit settings Deliver direct and indirect nursing care for diverse patient populations Utilize the nursing process to plan, coordinate, implement, and evaluate patient care Document all care and assessments using Meditech electronic health records Collaborate with physicians, patients, families, and interdisciplinary healthcare team members Demonstrate professionalism, respect, and effective communication in all interactions Maintain a safe, efficient, and compliant care environment according to hospital policies Participate in hospital and departmental orientation and ongoing training as required Apply now to join our healthcare team as a Travel Med / Surg RN in Spirit Lake, Iowa, and take the next step in your nursing career!
