Location : We are seeking an experienced Accounting Clerk for the Houston Museum of Natural Science.

The Houston Museum of Natural Science was founded in 1909 on the idea that science can enhance everyone's lives. As one of the most heavily attended museums in the United States, and a favorite thing to do in Houston, HMNS at Hermann Park has five floors of permanent exhibits, spanning astronomy, space science, Native American culture, paleontology, energy, chemistry, geology, seashells and Texas wildlife, alongside a slew of rotating special exhibitions.

Principal Function :

The Accounting Clerk is an essential part of the accounting team. This accounting position requires strong numbers orientation, problem-solving skills, research skills, computer skills and attention to detail.

The Accounting Clerk is responsible for providing accounting support to the Regional Controller or other management personnel within the business unit. They will perform basic accounting tasks such as keying daily worksheets into the general ledger system, ensuring files are complete and maintained, handling accounts receivable or payable duties, and other functions to generally support the department.

This position may be found in a variety of Sodexo Live! business environments of varying size and volume, to include convention centers, sporting or events arenas or other entertainment-related venues. The Accounting Clerk will typically work as part of a larger accounting team.
