Assembly Mechanic

Job Summary The Assembly Mechanic is responsible for assembling, installing, sealing, rigging, inspecting, and completing precision structural and system components in accordance with engineering drawings, process specifications, and quality requirements. The role includes functional testing, minor machine maintenance, and continuous support of production flow across the manufacturing environment.\n\nResponsibilities : \nAssemble, install, rig, and seal structural and system components using technical drawings, documents, and specifications.^Conduct functional tests to verify proper fit, form, and function of assemblies and components.^Use shop mathematics, precision measuring instruments, and test equipment to perform and verify work.^Operate hand and power tools, including conventional and / or CNC fastening equipment (less than simultaneous 3-axis movement).^Perform minor machine maintenance such as filter changes, lubrication checks, and bulb replacements.^Maintain proper certification of tools and equipment in accordance with procedures.^Routinely move materials and products within the work area using assigned equipment; complete required system transactions.^Ensure work is completed on schedule and in accordance with engineering specifications and quality standards.^Identify and report discrepancies in materials or workmanship as per applicable procedures.^Support cross-training and assist in training other assembly personnel in assembly, installation, and inspection techniques.^Drilling out rivets and installing skin panel rivets^Squeezing rivets and installing / removing Hi-Locs^Pulling, oversizing, and laying out holes by hand^Performing cut and splices^Installing freeze plugs and bushings^Specialize in at least one of the following areas : Assembly / Installation of Structures, Sealer Application, Sub-Assembly Work, Doors Installation, Integral Fuel Cell Sealing, Precision Bench Assembly, Pressure and Vacuum Testing
