CT Technologist - Proctor

Overview

To perform routine and specialized examinations in the specialty area of CT and diagnostic radiology, adapt procedures to obtain specific diagnostic and / or therapeutic results; prepare patients for examinations. This requires independent judgment to adapt procedures to obtain specific diagnostic results under the direction of a radiologist.

Qualifications

Certifications : Licensed Radiologic Technologist - Radiography - Illinois Emergency Management Agency (IEMA); Registered in Radiography (R) - American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT); Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) within 1 year - American Heart Association (AHA); Basic Life Support (BLS) within 30 days - American Heart Association (AHA); Registered in Computed Tomography (CT) within 1 year - American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT), Education : Certificate of Completion : Radiologic Technology; Associate's Degree : Radiologic Technology, Work Experience : Related field

Responsibilities

Clinical Excellence

• Performs procedures in a manner that ensures an accurate and complete examination within the guidelines, policies, procedures and standards of Medical Imaging to assigned patients of all ages.
• Exhibits competency in performing and filming CT and radiographic procedures
• Deviates from routines when the patient's condition requires it or at the request of the radiologist
• Knowledgeable of procedures and assist radiologist, orders labs and pathology tests, and schedules procedures appropriately
• Knowledgeable of invasive procedures, sterile tray set up , assisting radiologist, catheter and guidewires, orders labs and pathology test, and schedules procedures appropriately
• Obtains and documents accurate pre and post procedure information as applicable
• Follows JCAHO patient safety goals
• Maintains quality care throughout the procedure
• Possesses knowledge and skills necessary to obtain adequate lab specimens for testing.
• Performs patient bedside lab testing and associated quality control in compliance with medical provider's orders and hospital lab procedures / policies.

Compensation and Benefits

The compensation range for this position is $32.1per hour - $55.21per hour. This represents a good faith minimum and maximum range for the role at the time of posting by Carle Health. The actual compensation offered a candidate will be dependent on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, the candidate's experience, qualifications, location, training, licenses, shifts worked and compensation model.
