Job Title

Join our team! Assist with the management of a company's finance or accounting department. Manage incoming payments, outgoing bills, and invoices on behalf of the company. Submit billable hours to DHHS for Employment-related services, Adult Day Services, Habilitative Community Inclusion, and Habilitative Workshop services.

Duties And Responsibilities

Manages and keeps organized records. Prepares work by gathering and sorting documents and related information. Provide administrative support during budget preparation and yearly audits. Process correct garnishment calculations and compliance. Prepares financial reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing account information and trends. Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed. Assist Human Resources with the necessary information to maintain accurate records of all employees as it pertains to personal information. Maintains accounting ledgers by posting account transactions. Verifies accounts by reconciling statements and transactions. Maintains financial security by following internal accounting controls. Obtains revenue by verifying transaction information; computing charges and refunds; preparing and mailing invoices; identifying delinquent accounts and insufficient payments. Prepares and audits individuals' financial ledgers. Deals with appeals for individuals, processes, and prepares all necessary paperwork for Social Security. Meet with EFH when questions arise pertaining to Finance. Receive and scan all new insurance cards for the individual's team. Assist Guardians with yearly paperwork, produce accounting reports to process such requests. Process employee expense and mileage payments. Audits such as requests for abnormalities. Assist the Director with a variety of ongoing projects to improve the process and procedures of the company. Maintains financial historical records by filing accounting documents. Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed. Suggest changes and improvements to increase accuracy, efficiency, and cost reductions.

Qualifications

Education High School Diploma / GED.

Must have QuickBooks experience.

Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) preferred but not required. Certified Accounts Payable Associates (CAPA) is a plus

Requirements : Valid Driver's License Current vehicle Insurance upon request Must be able to pass the following background checks : Nebraska Department of Health and Human Services Adult Protective Services Central Registry Nebraska Department of Health and Human Services Child Protective Services Central Registry Criminal background check National Sex Offender Registry

Experience

Advanced experience with Excel High degree of accuracy and attention to detail Strong organizational, communication, and analytical skills 1-3 years' experience processing payroll preferred Strong PC skills, including proficiency in Excel. Strong work ethic and team player. High degree of professionalism. Ability to deal sensitively with confidential material Strong interpersonal (verbal and written) communication skills. Ability to communicate with various levels of management. Decision-making, problem-solving, and analytical skills. Organizational, multi-tasking, and prioritizing skills. Knowledge of : Excellent computer skills, including Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Outlook, Excel), with the ability to learn new applications Ability to : Proven ability to spot trends and abnormalities Pursues activities with focus and drive, defines work in terms of success, and can be counted on to complete goals. Manage multiple priorities Demonstrate good judgment, problem-solving, and decision-making skills Demonstrate effective verbal and written communication that is clear, well-organized, and demonstrates an understanding of audience needs. Manage confidential information and set priorities Maintain effective working relationships with the Leadership Team
