Position Overview
The Illinois Department of Children and Family Services is seeking an organized, professional, and results oriented individual to serve as Chief of Statewide Security Operations. Subject to management approval, this position will direct, manage, and coordinate the statewide security program for the Department. The position will provide oversight of overall office security and direct the review of unusual incidents for all DCFS facilities statewide. The position will also formulate, develop, and oversee the implementation of an internal security program on a statewide basis, while providing oversight of regional Chief Security Officers throughout the state. This position will conduct site visits to review and ensure that safety and security measures are in place and fully implemented in each DCFS facility. The position will coordinate responses to security incidents and emergency situations and will serve on 24 hour per day / 7 day per week on-call assignment. This position provides a great opportunity for someone with a strong background in security or law enforcement who is interested in putting his / her skills to use in ensuring the safety of DCFS employees.
