Duties, Responsibilities & Other

  • Assist in the development of multiple construction plans for transportation projects.
  • These duties will be performed under the supervision of a senior project engineer or project manager.
  • Performs work which involves conventional types of plans, investigations, surveys, structures, or equipment.
  • Assignments usually include engineering calculations, interpretation of engineering drawing and specifications, and assistance with proposal preparation.
  • Helps to coordinate work of multiple engineering disciplines, as well as drafting / CADD work for the project.
  • Assists in preparing progress reports and may supervise small projects.
  • Experience with MicroStation and OpenRoads Designer is preferred.
  • Candidate must have good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Must be a self-motivated dynamic individual.
  • South Carolina PE certification preferred.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in civil engineering required, E.I.T. required.
  • Minimum of 2 - 4 years of experience.
  • Pre-employment drug screening is a condition of employment. Background and motor vehicle checks may be required based upon position.
