job_description.job_card.job_descriptionMinimum 5 years of experience in public accounting or tax preparation Strong understanding of federal and Arizona tax laws Advanced knowledge of Drake, Lacerte, ProSeries or Tax Wise tax software CPA or Enrolled Agent (EA) preferred Excellent communication, analytical, and organizational skills Proven ability to review multiple returns accurately under tight deadlines Off-Season : Monday, Tuesday, Thursday – 9 : 00 AM to 5 : 00 PM Tax Season : Monday through Friday – 9 : 00 AM to 5 : 00 PM (overtime as needed) Hybrid / Remote options available for qualified candidates $85 / hour , paid weekly $50 per paycheck health stipend $25 / month cell phone stipend 401(k) participation eligibility Paid vacation, sick time, and holidays (in accordance with Arizona law)

Financial Fitness, PLLC is a trusted accounting firm based in Goodyear, Arizona. We provide tax preparation, bookkeeping, and financial consulting services to individuals and small businesses. Our firm values professionalism, accuracy, and exceptional client service.
We’re looking for a Tax Return Reviewer with strong technical knowledge and attention to detail to review individual and business tax returns for accuracy, compliance, and completeness.
Key Responsibilities
- Review individual (1040) and business tax returns (1120, 1120S, 1065) prepared by staff accountants
- Ensure all tax returns comply with IRS and Arizona Department of Revenue guidelines
- Verify reported income, deductions, credits, and supporting documentation
- Identify errors, inconsistencies, or potential audit triggers
- Provide detailed feedback and guidance to preparers
- Assist with technical tax research and complex tax issues
- Maintain high-quality control standards across all client filings
