As a Welder, you will perform metal surface preparation and apply thermal spray coatings using plasma, flame, arc wire, or HVOF processes. This role is essential for restoring, sealing, and enhancing components used in aerospace, power generation, and industrial applications.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate plasma and / or flame spray equipment to apply metallic and ceramic coatings.
- Read and interpret blueprints, sketches, and verbal instructions to determine spray areas and tolerances.
- Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, grit blasting, and masking.
- Set up and calibrate spray equipment including heat and gas pressure settings.
- Monitor spray patterns and make adjustments to ensure quality and consistency.
- Perform post-spray cleaning and inspection of coated parts.
- Maintain equipment and ensure a safe working environment.
