Your Role on the Team

Position Summary :

This position is eligible for a $10,000 sign-on bonus to be paid at hire (50%) and six months (50%) following hire date.

• Prior Employment Restriction : All potential recipients cannot have been employed within the UC System for the past 12 months in order to qualify for the hiring bonus.

Position assists the interventional radiologist, cardiologist, vascular surgeon, or other physicians as assigned in the performance of minimally invasive and invasive fluoroscopic guided diagnostic and therapeutic procedures. Procedures consist of complex vascular and non-vascular procedures, including cardiovascular, electrophysiology, endovascular, and neurological interventions. The technologist is responsible for pre-procedural set-up, operating various radiology and support equipment, sterile field, scrub, and circulating assistance during the procedure. The technologist is responsible for image archive management and appropriate documentation for the purpose of supply management, billing, and procedural documentation. The technologist assumes responsibility for ancillary tasks / duties associated with the delivery of high-quality, safe, cost-efficient patient care. The technologist assists attending physicians, fellows, clinical nurses, and CVTs with all aspects of the procedure. By the nature of this position, the technologist has access to medications and contract solutions associated with the delivery of direct patient care. He / she participates in the training of less senior radiologic technologists and students.
