Cisco Certified Network Associate-level knowledge Hold a current DoD Security+ CE certification AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner certification Proven expertise with core AWS networking services (VPC, Route 53, Direct Connect, AWS VPN) Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform and / or opentofu AWS Certified Advanced Networking - Specialty certification Familiarity with container networking (e.g., Kubernetes, Amazon EKS) Knowledge of network monitoring tools and protocols Experience with CI / CD pipelines and DevOps methodologies US Citizenship required and active Secret clearance Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% Needs to occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc. Frequently communicates with co-workers, management, and customers, which may involve delivering presentations Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations
Senior AWS Network Engineer
Mantech seeks a motivated, career and customer-oriented Senior AWS Network Engineer to join our team in Virginia Beach, VA. This is a remote position. The Senior AWS Network Engineer will be supporting an ambitious endeavor to reimagine how our customer, Naval Sea Systems, provides AWS cloud services to its customers. This includes a reimagining of the traditional network stack with a cloud native approach. Responsibilities include but are not limited to :
- Design, deploy, and manage highly available and scalable network architectures within AWS, including VPCs, subnets, route tables, and security group
- Configure and maintain AWS networking services such as Transit Gateway, Direct Connect, VPN, and Load Balancers (ALB / NLB)
- Implement and enforce network security best practices, including firewall rules, NACLs, and compliance with industry standards
- Monitor network performance and troubleshoot connectivity issues, ensuring optimal uptime and reliability
- Develop and maintain infrastructure as code (IaC) using tools like Terraform and opentofu for network provisioning and management
- Collaborate with development and operations teams to support application deployment and resolve networking-related challenges
- Stay current with the latest AWS services and networking trends to recommend and implement new technologies
