job_description.job_card.job_descriptionAssist the Foreman in overseeing daily field activities and crew coordination. Maintain productivity by keeping crews focused and tasks moving efficiently. Step in to lead the crew when the Foreman is unavailable. Operate or assist with equipment, materials, and tools as needed. Help enforce job site safety standards and encourage best practices. Communicate progress and needs to the Foreman or Project Manager. Ensure the jobsite is organized, clean, and all team members are aware of their tasks. Read and follow basic plans, work orders, and layouts to support underground utility installation. Preferred Qualifications : 2+ years of experience in underground utility work (electrical, telecom, water, etc.) Working knowledge of trenching, excavation, conduit installation, and general site prep. Ability to read basic construction drawings and follow direction from Foreman. Willingness to step up and take initiative when needed. Strong communication and leadership skills. Ability to operate small to mid-size equipment is a plus. Bilingual (English / Spanish) is a plus. Preferred Certifications : OSHA 30 Trenching & Excavation Safety Confined Space Awareness First Aid / CPR Physical Requirements : Ability to lift to 50 lbs. Comfortable working outdoors in various conditions. Capable of working in and around trenches and confined spaces. - We are looking for a dependable and experienced Underground Leadman to support the Foreman and help lead daily field operations.
- This person will be the Foreman’s right-hand on site—able to manage crews, maintain productivity, and keep work moving safely and efficiently.
While this role doesn’t require all certifications held by the Foreman, the ideal candidate should be capable of stepping in when needed (e.g., when the Foreman is in meetings or offsite). Key Responsibilities :
