Job Description Summary
The purpose of this job is to assess, develop, implement, and evaluate health education, behavioral risk reduction, and health promotion programs and initiatives to impact individual and community behavior, policies, and environments. - Serves as a public health resource and advocate to individuals, schools, and community leaders / agencies; develops outreach and educational materials.
- Assesses health of target populations and researches appropriate intervention strategies; plans, develops, and implements evidence-based programs and best practices to promote positive behavior change.
- Initiates, maintains, and strengthens community partnerships.
- Manages contracts and funds, writes grants, and compiles reports.
- Conducts program evaluation and research.
- Creates and presents reports.
- Regular attendance is a necessary and essential function.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Supervisory Responsibilities No supervisory authority. Work may require providing guidance and training to others. Bachelor’s Degree in Public Health, Health Sciences, or related field required.3 to 5 years’ experience in public health, health sciences, or related field.Licenses or Certifications
