Job Title : Data Manager
Location : Denver, CO or Houston, TX
Compensation : $102,000 – $150,000 (commensurate with experience)
Employer : Bay Systems Consulting Inc., supporting Lockheed Martin
Program : (Orion Data Management / Program Management Support)
About the Mission
The Orion spacecraft , built by NASA and prime contractor Lockheed Martin, is the world’s only spacecraft capable of crewed deep space flight and high-speed return from the lunar vicinity. As part of NASA’s Artemis program, Orion will carry astronauts from Earth to the Moon and back, advancing humanity’s presence in deep space.
Primary Responsibilities
As a Data Manager on the Orion Program Hardware organization, you will play a critical role in managing and safeguarding program data to ensure mission success. Key duties include :
- Administer and maintain Windchill and EPDM platforms, including data structures, workflows, and user access.
- Develop and execute a Subcontract Data Requirement Document (SDRD) closure plan , coordinating with Subcontract Administrators (SCAs) and Subcontract Program Managers (SPMs).
- Manage the open lien Qnote process for hardware subcontractor-driven items.
- Facilitate secure and accurate data exchange across subcontract program managers, production center managers, engineering, manufacturing, and quality teams.
- Contribute to process improvement initiatives focused on data governance and lifecycle efficiency for subcontractor deliverables.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in a related field (engineering, information systems, data management, or equivalent).Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to collaborate across diverse technical and program teams.Proven ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while meeting critical deadlines.Work Environment
Position is funded for the duration of the program’s period of performance.Work may be performed in an office environment (Denver or Houston) or remotely , depending on program needs.
