Starting Pay : $19.00 per hour
Summary
Under direct supervision, this position is responsible for operating street sweeping equipment, and on occasion operates other trucks / equipment as required. This position is responsible for the maintenance and minor repairs on assigned equipment and may on occasion be required to perform manual unskilled labor. This position is required to work shifts including evenings, weekends, holidays, and overtime as necessary by the department, and during inclement weather. This position is considered weather essential personnel.

Minimum Requirements
Graduation from high school or GED required. Minimum of one (1) year experience operating sweeper preferred. Valid Texas Drivers License required. Must be able to obtain a Texas Class A Commercial Drivers License when scheduled to attend CDL training course during probationary year. Regular and punctual attendance is a requirement of this position.

Work Environment
The employee works in an outdoor environment in all types of weather conditions, with heavy equipment and machinery that could result in bodily harm to self, co-workers, or others. Employee may be subject to dusty conditions and will be required to drive extensively in City traffic.
