L2 Data Center Ops

Core :

Team player, but able to execute work independently (, prioritizing and managing own workload / ticket queue)

Problem solver

Experience working in a data center environment and protocols (versus corporate IT server rooms)

Server troubleshooting experience (Client, Dell)

Server rack and stack capable (, able to safely lift 50 lbs+)

Comfortable working with Linux operating system command line interface (Rocky Linux, specifically)

Good communication skills - verbal, Slack and e-mail

Basic network troubleshooting experience (physical links, etc.)

Familiarity with HPE tools (, iLO, possibly SMS)

Nice to have :

Familiarity with Atlassian Jira and Confluence

Familiarity with HPE ProLiant series and tool sets (iLO)

Prior experience in our colocation facilities (Switch Nap 9, but applicable to other sites for any non-Vegas resources you may be looking at)

Familiarity with OpenSource tools : cobbler, arsenal, puppet, etc.

Data center architecture / build experience

Network architecture / build experience
