Position : Maintenance Director

Location : Jersey City, NJ

Shift : Full-Time

Salary : Up to $85,000 per year (based on experience)

About the Role :

Acclaim Rehab and Nursing Center is seeking a hands-on and experienced Maintenance Director to lead our maintenance department. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in a variety of maintenance disciplines, a solid understanding of regulatory compliance, and the ability to lead a team while ensuring a safe and well-maintained environment for our residents and staff.

Key Responsibilities :

Oversee daily maintenance operations, including plumbing, electrical, HVAC, painting, generators, and facility upkeep

Conduct routine inspections of equipment and facilities to ensure safety and performance

Develop staff schedules and manage the maintenance team

Maintain accurate records for repairs, warranties, inspections, and preventive maintenance

Respond promptly to emergency maintenance situations

Ensure compliance with applicable standards, codes, labor laws, and safety regulations

Coordinate repairs, updates, and equipment installations

Collaborate with administration and other departments to maintain a clean and safe facility

Participate in all facility communication channels including WhatsApp group chats

Requirements :

Must be licensed in accordance with applicable maintenance standards and regulations

Must be available 24 / 7 for emergency maintenance issues

Strong knowledge of maintenance practices in a healthcare or nursing home environment

Proficient in English, both written and verbal

Leadership ability with excellent planning, organization, and supervisory skills

Must be able to make sound decisions independently

Skilled in inspecting and maintaining facility infrastructure and resident rooms

Experience in managing maintenance supplies and budgeting

Willingness to explore and implement new maintenance methods and technologies

• Must have 5 years of experience in LTC / SNF
