Burlingame Family Pet Hospital is seeking a Kennel Assistant to join our team! Our Kennel staff play an essential role in maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for patients, clients, and staff. This role is a great entry point for those interested in building a career in veterinary medicine, with opportunities for professional growth and skill development.
This is a closing position, responsible for ensuring the hospital is clean, secure, and ready for the next day. You will help to ensure kennels, common areas, and treatment spaces sanitized and fully stocked with supplies. You will also provide compassionate care for boarding cats and dogs, including feeding, walking, cleaning enclosures, administering medications, monitoring their well-being, and recording observations about their condition or behavior. In addition, you may assist our veterinary team with technician tasks such as safely handling patients, helping with procedures, and providing support during exams or treatments.
This position is perfect for someone who is self-driven, detail-oriented, and is eager to start a career working with animals. Those who are enrolled in a Veterinary Technology program or are pursuing becoming a DVM are especially encouraged to apply.
This is a full-time position with a 5 / 8 schedule that includes evening shifts and requires weekend availability.
