Tasks : Identifies and manages existing and emerging risks that stem from business activities and the job role. Ensures risks associated with business activities are effectively identified, measured, monitored, and controlled. Follows written risk and compliance policies and procedures for business activities. Designs scalable infrastructure with minimal oversight, implements system change with consistency and autonomy, automates service delivery and maintenance tasks, and builds monitoring and tooling for systems. Resolves complex production issues with independence by troubleshooting complex systems independently. Analyzes complex outages to identify opportunities. Experiments with new patterns and technologies. Understands and consistently exercises engineering best practices, concepts, and patterns. Understands the customer and identifies solutions and ideas for the customer with some assistance. Evaluates potential solutions with some oversight. May telecommute.

Requirements : Will accept a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Software, Computer Engineering, Applied Sciences, Mathematics, Physics, or related field followed by 4 years of progressive, post-baccalaureate experience in job offered or in a related occupation. Position requires :

• Creating, configuring, migrating & upgrading the Oracle databases
• Handling Exadata cloud at customer infrastructure and databases
• Handling and Updating patches on Exadata Infrastructure (cell nodes and compute node)
• Updating security patches on Oracle Homes and Grid Homes to fix known vulnerabilities
• Capacity planning and Database scalability (CPU, Storage, and memory)
• Oracle Linux 7 and 8
• Shell scripting and Automations
• Setting up High Availability for databases using Goldengate and Data guard
• Setting up database monitoring in Oracle Enterprise Manager 13.5
• Database security management (Security policies, roles, and privileges)
• Database troubleshooting
• Backup and Recovery management
• Performance Tuning to ensure efficient and fast query response
• Handling incident calls to resolve database issues and performing root cause analysis
• Service Management to handling and tracking change requests.
• Putty, SQL developer, Password Safe, and DB artisan
