Our client, a world leader in diagnostics and life sciences, is looking for a " Quality Specialist- Environmental Scientist” based out of Hillsboro, OR.

We are seeking a skilled Quality Assurance Specialist to support environmental monitoring, aseptic sampling, and quality oversight activities in a cGMP-regulated biopharmaceutical environment. This role is responsible for ensuring inspection readiness, executing monitoring programs, resolving quality issues, and contributing to departmental and cross-functional initiatives. The ideal candidate brings strong technical expertise, sound scientific judgment, and excellent communication skills.

Key Responsibilities

Perform environmental monitoring and water sampling in compliance with cGMP standards.

Maintain a constant state of inspection readiness and ensure documentation accuracy.

Apply scientific theory and technical principles to resolve moderately complex quality issues.

Troubleshoot and support root-cause investigations through strong cross-functional partnerships.

Serve as a technical SME for environmental monitoring and quality-related activities.

Work independently on routine assignments and with guidance on complex tasks.

Contribute to the design and implementation of process improvements and departmental initiatives.

Communicate effectively with Supervisors and Managers, including handling sensitive information.

Support Quality oversight activities and perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences or related field.

Minimum 3 years of experience in a cGMP pharmaceutical or biopharmaceutical environment.

Hands-on laboratory experience with aseptic sampling and testing techniques.
