A leading provider of advanced engineering technology services is seeking a Manual Machinist to produce, repair, and maintain precision components using traditional machining methods. The ideal candidate is a detail-oriented, safety-focused professional with proven hands-on machining experience and strong blueprint interpretation skills. Working with minimal supervision, the new team member will contribute to operational success by delivering accurate, high-quality parts while maintaining safety standards and supporting continuous improvement initiatives.

Responsibilities :
Operate manual machines such as lathes, milling machines, slotting machines, and radial arm drills to machine parts to precise specifications.
Produce and repair precision components using manual equipment and accurate measurement techniques.
Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and engineering instructions to determine machining methods, sequences, and tolerances.
Calculate dimensions and tolerances using knowledge of mathematics and instruments such as micrometers and vernier calipers.
Inspect completed parts for accuracy using precision measurement tools to ensure conformance to specifications.
Perform routine maintenance and service on machines to ensure safe and efficient operation.
Follow all company policies, procedures, and safety protocols, including proper completion of QA cards and hazard assessments (e.g., START Cards).
Report any issues with work instructions, tooling, or machine performance to the Supervisor immediately.
Maintain a clean and organized work area and assist with general housekeeping in the department.
Provide support and collaborate with other workshop personnel as required.
Requirements :
Proven experience as a manual machinist in a manufacturing or repair environment.
Strong knowledge of manual machining techniques and equipment.
Ability to use precision measuring instruments (e.g., micrometers, calipers, dial indicators) with accuracy.
Understanding of metal properties and machining processes.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and manuals.
High school diploma or equivalent required; vocational training or apprenticeship in machining is a strong plus
