A Southland Holdings company, is currently accepting resumes for an Experienced Construction Maintenance of Traffic Control to join our team for heavy highway work in Lake Worth, FL.

  • Ability to stand, squat, stoop, bend, lift for extended periods, must work in all weather conditions, be prepared for both extreme hot / cold, must be able to work independently, maintain good schedule, available for OT.

The duties and responsibilities of construction maintenance of traffic control include.

  • Patrolling roads for hazards, snow / ice conditions, and maintenance / repair needs.
  • Placing stop signs and speed limit signs along the road.
  • Removing roadkill.
  • Filling road washouts and cleaning storm drains.
  • Inspecting and maintaining operating equipment.
  • Installing and cleaning culverts.
  • Flagging traffic to form a detour around construction.
  • Setting up and taking down traffic control equipment such as cones, signs, and barricades to ensure the safety of drivers, pedestrians, and construction workers.
  • Pay is negotiable / Depending on experience - 40 plus OT hours a week.
  • Must pass post offer pre-employment drug screen and background check.
