Paralegal 3+ Yrs Exp Req

Vernis & Bowling, a fast-paced insurance defense firm seeks Paralegals with a minimum of 3 years of legal experience to join our defense team. We have multiple positions open due to our continued growth.

• Experience in either General Liability, Employment Law, Commercial Litigation, Construction Defect, or E&O / D&O / Homeowner Association claims is required.

Duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to :

Knowledge of Florida and Federal Rules of Procedure

Draft correspondence, pleadings, i.e. motions, subpoenas, notices

E-filling

Review and receipt of e-service mail and US mail

Document management

Scheduling, calendar, preparing hearing exhibits and hearing binders

Manage deadlines timely

Exhibit workplace professionalism, teamwork

Ability to multi-task, prioritize and work under pressure

Calendar court deadlines

Trial preparation a plus

Critical to success is attention to detail, follow-through, accuracy, communication, and organization. Excellent grammar and proofreading skills are required. The ability to follow directions and pay attention to detail is mandatory.

Job Type : Full-time

Pay : $57,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
