We are looking for a detail-oriented Billing Assistant to join our team in Birmingham, Alabama. In this role, you will play a key part in supporting accurate and efficient billing operations while maintaining organized financial records. Responsibilities :
- Prepare and issue customer invoices with precision, ensuring compliance with company policies.
- Maintain and organize billing records to ensure proper documentation of all transactions.
- Collaborate with the finance team to resolve discrepancies and address customer inquiries.
- Support the enhancement of billing processes and systems to improve efficiency.
- Assist with monthly and weekly billing cycles, including updates to purchase orders and taxable / non-taxable addresses.
- Contribute to month-end closing activities to ensure timely financial reporting.
- Utilize Excel tools such as pivot tables and formulas to streamline billing tasks.
- Work onsite to provide consistent support to the accounting and accounts receivable teams.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables, vlookups, and formulas.
- Familiarity with accounts receivable processes and basic billing functions.
- Previous experience in billing or related roles is preferred.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
- Comfortable with business casual attire and onsite work schedule.
- Willingness to occasionally work from home as needed.
