We are looking for a detail-oriented Billing Assistant to join our team in Birmingham, Alabama. In this role, you will play a key part in supporting accurate and efficient billing operations while maintaining organized financial records. This position is ideal for someone who thrives in a collaborative environment and enjoys working with numbers and systems.

Responsibilities :

  • Prepare and issue customer invoices with precision, ensuring compliance with company policies.
  • Maintain and organize billing records to ensure proper documentation of all transactions.
  • Collaborate with the finance team to resolve discrepancies and address customer inquiries.
  • Support the enhancement of billing processes and systems to improve efficiency.
  • Assist with monthly and weekly billing cycles, including updates to purchase orders and taxable / non-taxable addresses.
  • Contribute to month-end closing activities to ensure timely financial reporting.
  • Utilize Excel tools such as pivot tables and formulas to streamline billing tasks.
  • Work onsite to provide consistent support to the accounting and accounts receivable teams.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables, vlookups, and formulas.
  • Familiarity with accounts receivable processes and basic billing functions.
  • Previous experience in billing or related roles is preferred.
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
  • Comfortable with business casual attire and onsite work schedule.
  • Willingness to occasionally work from home as needed.
