Transportation Planner

Freese and Nichols has a great opportunity for a Transportation Planner in our San Antonio office. The ideal candidate will be a detail-oriented individual who will contribute to public-sector client projects in a variety of dynamic service areas multimodal transportation network planning, feasibility analysis, corridor analysis, fiscal impact assessment and project development.

In this role, you will work closely with planners and engineers, and will coordinate with other disciplines to complete tasks, contribute to complex projects, and support recommendations and public decision making.

Responsibilities

• Work in a collaborative environment as part of a multi-discipline team
• Learn and apply knowledge, data and analysis contributing to transportation planning studies such as : multimodal network planning, smart mobility, alternatives and feasibility analyses, policy development, transportation infrastructure funding and implementation, and general traffic operations
• Manage personal timeliness and technical correctness of a project to ensure high-quality work that fits within a client's budget and expectations
• Demonstrate ability to produce well-written reports and highly visual documents.
• Support the planning team in public meeting facilitation and City Council meetings / public hearings.
• Be willing to travel as needed to meet project commitments.
