We’re looking for a DSP-2 Certified Nursing Assistant (CAN) who thrives in dynamic environments and who is passionate about caring for others.

You’ll work with several individuals throughout the day, some who use wheelchairs or need more intensive support, to ensure they receive the personalized care and attention they deserve.

We’re looking for a caring and dedicated DSP-2 Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to join our team and make a meaningful difference in the lives of individuals with special needs. In this role, you’ll provide hands-on support with everyday tasks such as walking, eating, grooming, using the restroom (including lifting or transferring when needed), taking medications, and maintaining personal hygiene.

Your Role & Responsibilities –

  • Direct personal care such as assistance with ambulation, eating, grooming, personal hygiene, bathroom assistance including transferring, medication administration, and documentation.
  • Completes necessary documentation, including, but not limited to : Therap data collection, Special Incident Reports, Daily Activity Schedule for clients, Medication Documentation, and other forms of documentation as requested by supervisors.
  • Administers and documents individual medications and provides medical and / or first aid treatment instructed by nursing staff.
  • Protects individual rights, safety, we fare, and health at all times for those we serve.
  • Assures that choices are an integral part of a resident’s day and assures that these are available; honors individual choice whenever possible based on safety and individual needs / restrictions.
  • Participates in staff meetings, progress reviews, in-service training, and other meetings as assigned.
  • Delivers individual program plans / goals and behavior support plans as designed; assures active support for all persons served.
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications –

  • High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED)
  • Certified Nursing Assistant Certification
  • 6+ months of related experience
  • Must pass a criminal background check and have an acceptable driving history
  • Salary –

    21.00 - 22.00 Hourly

    Location –

    While the primary location is 555 Deer Springs Road, San Marcos, CA 92069, this role requires flexibility to work at various locations across North County San Diego.
