Security Engineer I

Symetra has an exciting new opportunity to join us as a Security Engineer I!

About the role

As a Security Engineer I , you'll support the development, execution and monitoring of a comprehensive information security program. In this role, you'll work closely with the rest of the security team to implement security technologies, strengthen organizational defenses, and help ensure the protection of critical systems and data.

What you will do

• Respond to security incidents through triage, analysis, investigation, and resolution, while monitoring and analyzing alerts across networks, systems, and applications.
• Implement and maintain security controls, including firewalls and intrusion detection / prevention systems.
• Assist in developing, implementing, and enforcing security policies, procedures, and controls, ensuring compliance with regulatory and industry standards.
• Conduct risk assessments and lead vulnerability scanning activities to identify, prioritize, and help remediate security risks.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate security into IT projects and clearly communicate risks and recommendations.
• Develop and deliver security awareness training and promote a strong security culture across the organization.

Compensation

Salary Range : $103,300 - $172,200 plus eligibility for the company annual bonus program.
