Key Accountabilities
- Provides supervision and direction to a power plant multi-skilled crew including , electrical, instrument and controls or P&C projects and project development.
- Responsible for electronic project implementation and development.
- Other responsibilities may include long and short term planning for Technical / electronic / digital controls or devices
- Will be assigned to work a normal day shift schedule, but will be on call and expected to cover the plant on a 7 day, 24 hour basis.
- This position is also subject to working temporary assignment in other areas of Luminant Power during periods of low plant utilization.
- Supporting all aspects of the day–to-day operation and maintenance of a generating station
- Accountability can include supervising and directing multi-skill production and maintenance support personnel to achieve maximum reliable and safe operation of the generating units
- Ensure and monitor safety and environmental compliance, regulatory compliance, administrative and procedural compliance, and documentation
- Assist in the coordination and implementation of special projects
- Supervisor may be asked to respond to emergency call out situations and assist in trouble shooting of system problems
- Interface frequently with outside vendors and contractors
- Planning and Scheduling for plant site
Education, Experience, & Skill Requirements
High School Diploma or GED EquivalentExperience gained through college degree programs and / or certifications is applicable to some of the skills listed5-7 years of power generation plant experienceCandidate must be experienced in using Maximo for planning work, creating purchase requests, and creating job plansExperience in WST, the preferred scheduling tool used by Luminant, highly preferred.Experience with operations and maintenance at a power plant particularly control operator experience on a unit with a drum boiler is preferredTechnical background or Instrumentation and Control background is a plusPower generation plant supervision, leadership, communication, problem solving and decision making skills preferredGood computer skills using Word, Excel, and OutlookExperience in computer maintenance management systems and an understanding of PMMS and / or Maximo programs preferredStrong technical knowledge and budgetary experience to implement technical projects.Key Metrics
